Dreams...Dreams...&...Dreams...Chase yours till you reach there...

In the book "The Last Lecture" written by Randy Paush, he said if a student says the word "Dream", he always ask more about it, because its the dream that takes you forward in your life. Dreams give you life and teaches you the purpose of life. I am always interested in Dreams that are different, Dreams that gives you happiness and Dreams that are mainly related to your inborn talent and interests.

Becoming an Engineer or a Doctor has become a common one. Only few people dream this for real, others just go due to peer pressure or parental pressure. In this blog I want to talk about the other dreams, one that brings freshness to your mind and soul. I haven't met a lot of people with such dreams, but I have read a lot about them. And I am someone who secretly (not a secret anymore) wish that one day my kid would come up to me with such a beautiful dream. I want to use this blog of mine to support such dreamers and give them confidence.

Dream of Colors?

Someone like me will have such dreams/goals. If you have this dream, do your level best to achieve it. People with an eye for color have lot of opportunities in this world. They can be an artist, a fashion designer, an interior designer..so and so. Don't hesitate or get confused thinking whether you will be successful here. If you put your complete focus and heart in something, you can achieve success for sure. So don't let anything stop you. If you are good at it, then you can reach the heights of it. Worried about Finance? A talented person will always be rewarded for their good work.

Dream with a Pen?

Writers....if you are in this line, then don't let the pending college or office works stop you. Not everyone can draw images in  a person's mind through words and letters. I was always amazed by the way great writers present their story. Readers get mesmerized by some books, this is because the specialized and wonderful writing lets you see the story like a movie running in front of your eyes. A reader sees the hero, heroine, the houses, roads and every minute details written in the pages. I really appreciate such books and its authors. So if you or your kid is someone with that talent, please never stop him/her from achieving their dreams. If you are worried whether their life would be financially safe, please don't be. People always have money to buy quality stuffs.

Dream through Lens?

How many people know the right moment to capture something? And how many of you can get the inner beauty of a person on a photograph? Very few, isn't it? Yes, there are very few people who knows when its ready to press the button for that perfect click. A shabby room, a slum or an old broken building can look amazing in a good photographer's eye. Great photographers are people who see beauty in everything and everyone through their camera lens. If you think you can do that, then don't let it go. World is always ready to follow unique creations.

Dream of Smile, Laughter and Relief?

Have someone told you that you amazingly change a person's mood and make people around you happy? There are kids and people who can easily turn a tear to laughter. And they love to see the relief on others face. If you can find solution to someone's problems, if you can change others mood with positivity and if you can  give hope/courage to a depressed soul then you are ,or can become a great counselor. Giving comfort and helping others believe in change are the main two things a counselor do. People need help and advice at many times on many things. It can be personal, professional, financial, physical etc. If you think you can provide that belief, courage, hope and idea, then you can confidently make this your profession and be successful at it. Also, there are lot of courses online that can help to groom you to perfection.

Dream of Animals and Birds?

Yes, I am already in for this one. If you are an animal or bird lover, then there are lot of opportunities open for you in this current world. All those can provide you a good financial safety as well. There are different professions in this area like Marine Biologist ( $57,430 as Median salary), Vetenary Pathologist (Median salary between $120,000 and $160,000), Animal Assisted Therapist (Median salary: around $39,400) etc. (salary details are taken from some informative sites). So now you can work in your favorite place with the lovely animals/birds confidently.

These are few of my suggestions depending on different people and their interests. There are so many others we are not aware of. Talent is always appreciated and  a talented person will never go unnoticed. So hold on to your dreams tight and work hard to achieve it. Also, enjoy your life by doing what you really love. Motivate others with your life!!!

God introduces wonderful people to our lives to teach us great things and to guide us on this journey of life. They teach us how to face the challenges and how to keep your head high on difficult situations. There is one person in my life who was introduced to me at the age of five. She is my Malliaunty. I sometimes feel that her purpose of life was to show how a great human being should be and to teach us(particularly me) how to be nice to yourself and others.

You need not impress anyone or get in the good books of people to be a good human. You just have to be yourself and do whatever you can to others, when its actually required for them. She taught us to be polite to people and to treat others in a way you want yourself to be treated. She taught us to help people wholeheartedly, and NOT because you just want them to think nice of you or talk about you. According to me these qualities defines a human.

Malliaunty had touched everyones heart with that wonderful personality. She was hiding her sorrows and problems and was being a happy soul for the ones that are close to her. She motivated us and everyone with that innocent smile and yes, I will never stop missing her. Whenever I do something good to myself or others I thank her for guiding me. I thank her for being a wonderful Mom and a great friend to us ( I couldn't do that when she was there with us). Soft and brave, humble and intelligent is what I would write to describe her. And that is what she passed on to us and her loved ones.

In this material life where we humans are just guests who visits this earth and goes back, what we can least do is to share and spread good thoughts and thus spread some positive dust to others (I thank everyone who has done this to me). There are kids and other people who look upto us. Also, there are people who keep watching or following our activities. If you do good things, they will also learn to do that. If you be strong and brave, they will also be that and it will help them to face the challenges life put before them. They will be good and strong from inside and nothing would faze them in this world.

I was fortunate enough to meet such great people and learn from their lives. I am sure everyone will have or would have had someone like Malliaunty in their life. If possible share your thoughts about them to others and be a motivation for good. God has given you the keys for everything, use it when you are living and appreciate the purpose of your life. Be positive and spread that energy to people who is in need and are willing to receive.

Old Age - Just Another Beautiful Phase of Your Life

Being young, I might not understand what it feels like to be sixty plus, also I might not be the right person to judge and comment. But I have met people who thinks and accept it as another beautiful phase of life. I found one thing common in all of them, they take time to think about themselves and they take time to enjoy every minute things around them. They find hobbies and interests to make their life interesting. Thus they become wonderful examples to youngsters like us.

This blog of mine is for Elders of 60+ age who has an open mind to understand and enjoy this wonderful phase and who wants to be a Happy Bee in this crowded, busy world. This is also for my young group of friends and readers who adores their Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa. Share this ideas with them and help them have a good time of their own, away from negative thoughts. Make them understand that ageing is only a matter of thinking. Below is a set of things I think would be helpful to you, based on different interests and health conditions.

1. A recipe book/blog:
No food in this world is as tasty and healthy as a Mom's and Grandma's food, or in some cases a Dad's and Grandpa's food. They have magic recipes and hands which brings mouth watering foods to the table. Why not share it to this world? You can get a blog created with the help of your grandkid (if you don't know) and upload your awesome recipes to the world. You will be surprised and happy to see the number of hits and grateful comments from people like us who wants to surprise their spouse, kids, friends or neibhours with a yummy plate of food. You can earn too ;-)

2. Painting:
Painting is completely dependent on a person's interest. If you are someone who has patience and enjoy colors, you should surely give a go-ahead to it. Painting can make you so involved in it, thus you will forget all worries and tensions as if a spell has fallen on you.

3. Teach your Grandkids or Kids in the neighborhood:
 Experience makes a man perfect. You know the world better than us and you are the one who have seen wonderful things in this world than us. In this technical, fast world we and small kids didn't get a chance to see and experience the beauty of nature and love. But you have seen, experienced and enjoyed all this in your childhood. You were so connected to this mother earth and soil in your childhood. Spend time in sharing it with us. Everything about nature, love, God and moral values. Believe me!!!! We are interested to listen to you.

4. A walk with Friends or Chit-chatting:
A walk with your friend/friends is something everyone enjoys irrespective of age. A healthy gossiping and news paper discussions are something that you will like. Then why not enjoy it when this is the best and right time for it? Plus it has an added advantage -  mental and physical fitness.

5. Grandchildren - Greatest Hobby with the Highest Pay:
Grandkids are always your darlings. You love them more than your son/daughter. Why not make something for them with your own hands, instead of buying gifts from outside? Kids love their grandparents, and everything you gift will be rewarded with that warm cuddly hugs and kisses. Also, by doing so you are teaching them a wonderful lesson. You teach them to not mix love and money. Kids will learn that, things made with a loving mind and hand are more precious than the ones that are bought with money.

6. Do Gardening, Grow a Bonsai, Build a Bird Feeder:
Gardening always brings beauty to you, because the end result of your hardwork is always filled with color, beauty and freshness. Why not try a Bonsai? Its an apt hobby for you if you are someone with patience and ideas. And its an art to grow a Bonsai. For people who love cute chirping voices, you can use an old bottle to make a bird feeder, and then hang it on your verandah with seeds or bird food. You can thus enjoy your own peaceful and happy time with beautiful feathery friends. Innocence of birds and animals, and the freshness of plants and flowers can have a spectacular effect on you.

These are just small ideas from my side because I am somebody who likes to see you guys happy and smiling, thus proving and showing us every stage of life has a beauty in it. I believe in it completely. And if God permits I will enjoy mine too...thoroughly :)
